Entries for this year’s Wales Rally GB at the end of the month have reached 115 teams.

That’s ten more than last year and they come from 32 countries. Within the international entry are 11 official Manufacturer entries from Citroen, Ford and Subaru and 26 World Rally Cars, including the Suzuki SX4 making its UK debut.

This entry is again the largest of this year's 16 round World Rally Championship, continuing the popularity of Rally GB, which this year is celebrating its 75th Anniversary.
Drivers and co-drivers include teams from Australia, Barbados, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, the USA and Zimbabwe.

A new National event which will run behind the international field on all three days has been added to accommodate amateur drivers from the Army, Navy and Air Force in self-prepared Land Rovers. The military section use to be a regular site at the end of the field and the crews used the competition for map reading training and mechanical experience.

In addition to being the final round of the World Rally Championship for Drivers, Manufacturers and drivers of Production Cars, Wales Rally GB is also a double-points scoring event of the seven-round British Rally Championship. Six drivers are in contention for this coveted UK title.
