Welsh driver's MGS2000 debut in Wales

Top welsh rally driver Stuart Jones will make his competition debut behind the wheel of the new MGS2000 Sport on Wales Rally GB.
Stuart, the only Welshman contesting the PWRC in 2007 has been using a Mitsubishi Evo but was recently involved in test and development work on the MSD built MG.
On the back of this multi day test was able to conclude a deal to drive the car on Wales Rally GB.
This will make the 22 year old the first registered driver in the Production World Rally Championship to use one of these exciting new age rally cars in the series.

Stuart said, “The MG S2000 Sport is an exciting new project and having spent time with the team testing and developing the car I decided that this is the way forward.
“The team was obviously pleased with my feedback because they have committed to running me on Wales Rally GB. Now it is up to me to prove that their decision was the correct one.”
MSD is eager to put the MG into some top flight competition so that it can show its colours and director David Whitehead said, “Stuart is a fine young driver with enormous potential.
