The all-new Mazda2 diesel range of five-door hatchbacks is on sale in March from just £9,499.
Two equipment levels, TS and TS2, will be available as on the new Mazda2 petrol models but the diesels get a newly developed MZ-CD 1.4-litre common-rail turbo diesel four‑cylinder engine giving 68ps at 4,000rpm and maximum torque of 160Nm at 2,000rpm and have five-speed manual transmission.

SEAT is introducing its ultra-low emissions Ibiza Ecomotive which slips under the 100gkm mark.
Deliveries of the firm’s most economical, least polluting production model to date will begin in the spring at £10,995 for the Ibiza 1.4 TDI producing just 99 g/km, more than 74 mpg and yet a spirited 0-62 mph time of just 12.8 seconds.

The next generation Subaru Forester has been unveiled in Japan.
It comes to the UK in April with a 2.0 petrol engine and the diesel will be added in December at the same time as the oil burner is dropped into the Impreza.
