Boot Honda Accord arrives in June

The latest Honda Accord saloon will go on sale in June from £19,250 with Tourer versions arriving in September.
The key grade of saloon, ES GT, starts at £20,100 - which includes 17-inch alloy wheels, half-leather seats, cruise control, aero kit, sports suspension and climate control, EX grades start from £22,250 and come as standard with DVD sat nav, Bluetooth hands free telephone, full leather seats, electric/heated front seats, rear parking camera and a premium 6CD stereo. Top of the range will be the Accord 2.2 i-DTEC EX GT man tech pack at £26,650.

   
Self-braking Volvo will be trend-setter

Volvo’s CitySafe system, which will be fitted as standard to its new XC60 crossover vehicle from the end of this year, will be rolled out across all new models in the future.

Gerry Keaney, senior vice president and head of marketing, sales and customer service at Volvo Car Corporation, has hinted that the system, which helps drivers avoid low-speed accidents in heavy traffic, could also find its way into Ford vehicles in the future.

   
Ford push on  flexifuel models

Ford will continue to build its bioethanol Flexi-Fuel Focus alongside its new range of ECOnetic models, but wants the Government to give the dual-fuel cars more support.
Ford of Britain chairman and managing director Roelant de Waard told Fleet News, “We will continue to build Flexi-Fuel Focus but we need the right conditions in the UK to create demand and if the support from the Government is not larger then buying one is something many are not prepared to do.

   
Scout tops 2 million made

Škoda has recently produced its two-millionth Octavia in the Czech Republic, a Scout 2.0 TDI.

The Czech firm has built 1,315,000 first-generation Octavias and 685,000 second-generation Octavias since the market launch 12 years ago.

   
Peugeot 207 with Vanitude

Peugeot has launched a range of ‘Sports’ accessories for the 207 Van, which customers can use to personalise their van.

The range of accessories cover everything from an iPod docking kit to a full body kit, 17” alloy wheels, or an exterior stripe kit. All accessories can be fitted at any Peugeot dealer or by a competent owner.
