Cardiff based racing driver Nick Jones launches his 2008 campaign in fine style next weekend at Zolder, Belgium.
The 18 year-old Kings Monkton A Levels student from Castleton will tackle the Belgian Renault Sport Clio Cup in his second season of circuit racing after a stunning rookie season that saw him rack up six race wins and third place overall in the Dunlop Great & British Mini Challenge, (right).

Having tested with the Thetford based Advent Motorsport team ready to challenge for the championship title in Belgium, Nick is very confident but knows that he must work hard to win against some of the biggest names in saloon car racing in Europe.
Nick is the only Welshman competing in the championship and will be wearing with pride the Welsh flag and the badge of the Welsh Racing Drivers Association on his race suit. The championship consists of six race meetings with two races at each meeting at Spa-Francorchamps and Zolder in Belgium and the world famous Nurburgring in Germany.
“I’ m really looking forward to the season.” says Jones. “ I have the opportunity to put Welsh saloon car racers on the map and show the Europeans that Welshman do more than just play Rugby”.
Nick is travelling to Belgium today ready for the opening race meeting at Circuit Zolder on 12 and 13 April.
