Rali Bro Teifi victory went to Wood and
The latest round of the Welsh Road Rally Championship took place over the weekend with the Teifi Valley MC organised Rali Bro Teifi.

The event took a slightly different format to other road rallying events with a day section of stages also included all taking place on private property and at the halfway halt the overall leaders were Martyn O Connor / Aled Jones in a Vauxhall Astra.

The second half which took place in the darkness of the night saw a tight compact route in a small area surrounding the Cardigan coastline around Tanygroes, this played a major role on the co-drivers part with the route all having to be plotted before hand.
With only some two hours of driving and navigational time before returning to the finish venue at rally HQ the overall winners were announced as Steve Wood / Aled Richards in a Peugeot 206 (above) with only 27 seconds in hand over the Escort Mk2 of Nick Evans / Edwin Venville (below) while third place went to Gethin Morgan / Dilwyn John in another Escort Mk2.
The organising team had put in 8 months of hard work and planning into the event contacting all residents en route and it certainly paid off with a classic event that saw 90 cars start an enjoyable first half around farm tracks and the odd quarry before being tested to the limits on a tough but sensible second half.
