The national Mobility Roadshow at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry - 12, 13 and 14 June hosts one of the first public showings of the new WAV-Evolution - the first vehicle conversion to deliver wheelchair front-access.

Based on the Kia Sedona and five years in design and development as a joint venture between Aspect Conversions and Sirus Automotive.

Cleverly adapted Kia Sedona is one highlight of Mobillity Roadshow

It provides six original manufacturer’s seats plus front wheelchair passenger position with no loss of boot space.

From a modest range of vehicles in 1983 to mobility innovation that was difficult to imagine at that time, this premier mobility and independent lifestyle event celebrates 25 years showcasing the latest products, services and information to meet the nation’s mobility needs. It is the largest free consumer show of its kind in the world and attracts over 25,000 visitors.

There are around 9.8 million disabled people in the UK, over 15 per cent of the population and it is estimated that 50 per cent of them hold driving licenses. Mobility vehicles represent around 10 per cent of the UK’s new car market.

With 11 motor marques in the line-up and over 30 specialist vehicle conversion and adaptation companies, as well as caravan, motor home and transit groups, all on the one site, this is a ‘must see’ event to assess Mobility customers current and future motoring needs - and it’s free.

Nowhere else can visitors test drive from a selection of over 60 adapted vehicles - either as disabled driver or passenger and whether on the Motability scheme or for private purchase. Visitors can now register for test drives at to save time on the day by using the link below.

Highlights in the motoring arena include the first public showing of two new models from Citroën: the new Berlingo Multispace and the new Citroën C5 medium sector family care, which will be available to Motability customers for the first time.

Visitors will be among the first to see the newly released Chevrolet Aveo and the new Vauxhall Agila, now available in automatic. There’s the opportunity to test Land Rover’s all-terrain capability from this newcomer to the Roadshow, showcasing models including the Freelander 2.

On the conversions launch pad is Brook Miller launching two new models - the Kia Sportage Outback with rear wheelchair access and the Daihatsu Materia Motion with drive or upfront passenger position for wheelchair users, both according to the company “slightly different from the norm”.

Auto Mobility Concepts is unveiling a new drive from wheelchair conversion based on a VW Caravelle, with full lowered floor, side under floor cassette lift, up front passenger and wheelchair driving positions and quick release front seats.

A first-timer at this event is Holden Mobility having entered the mobility market last year with a range of Renault conversions, after 80 years in the motor business.

Here too, disabled drivers will have a rare opportunity to experience skid cause and prevention through D & S Events’ Skid Car Experience. And for thrill seekers with restricted leg movement the Mobility Roadshow could be the first opportunity to take a speedy spin in go-karts converted with hand controls.

Are you safely in control of your mobility scooter?

This is the show where there is also much more than motoring. For people with disabilities and the thousands of older people for whom a mobility scooter is the route to greater independence and quality of life, this event is an ideal opportunity to compare a vast range of scooter brands and models for comfort and safety.

Open from 10am daily. Admission, parking and showguide are free and there is entertainment for young visitors. An accessible courtesy bus service will operate every half hour between Coventry Station and Stoneleigh Park. As well as test drives you can book wheelchair and scooter loans for during the event.
