The famous Welsh sports cars made an emotional return to Cardiff Castle for the owners club’s annual national day and over 30 cars rolled into the grounds where publicity shots for the cars had been taken over 30 years ago.
Owners from all over Britain turned up for the meeting and arrived in models spanning the marque’s history from the late 1950s to early 1970s. About 1,000 were made in a factory at Llantwit Fadre after being founded by local butcher Giles Smith and German engineer Bernard Friese.
