Welsh instructor Brian Westlake-Toms of South Wales-based Ace Instructor Services has joined the committee of the Retail Motor Industry’s Motorcyle Rider Training Association.

It also has a new Chairman, Kevin Bryan of Stoke-on-Trent-based motorcycle rider training company Bryan’s Road Safety.

Motor cycle safety is being tightened up this year

Commenting on the new appointments, Frank Finch Head of Motorcycle Associations for the Retail Motor Industry Federation said, “Both Kevin and Brian have extensive experience of serving on the MRTA committee and representing members’ and the industry’s interests. This will benefit members in what are challenging times for the training industry.”

Kevin previously held the position of MRTA Chairman and returns to the chair after a spell as Vice Chairman and Brian returns to Committee duty after a short break.

Both are keen to get down to business especially given the many issues currently affecting the sector including of course the new motorcycle test implementation in September and further work with regard to the impending introduction of the EC Third Driving Licence Directive.
