“By securing a robust parts distribution scheme, we have completed another major milestone in the re-introduction of the MG brand,” comments Jack Safiruddin, aftersales manager, NAC MG.
“To properly position the brand alongside the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers, it is essential that everyone servicing new MG vehicles has fast access to replacement parts. As one of the automotive industry’s leading supply chain management companies, with extensive experience in the distribution of MG parts and the management of high-quality service schemes, XPart is the ideal partner for this critical element of our business.”
As the historic supplier of MG parts, XPart has managed the supply of parts and dealer-fit accessories since 2001. XPart has been working closely with NAC MG and last year, received its first shipment of replacement parts manufactured in China by NAC MG from tooling originally housed at Longbridge.
Parts will be supplied to MG dealers through XPart’s established wholesaler network giving NAC MG a professional and easily managed parts programme from the outset.
“MG dealers and owners can expect to receive standards of support equivalent to that provided by the world’s best vehicle manufacturers,” says Craig Cooper, general manager, XPart. “Our excellent geographic coverage means that MG dealers can receive multiple deliveries per day and parts can also be delivered overnight with a pre-8am delivery. By utilising our existing infrastructure and proven processes, new MG parts will be seamlessly integrated into our operation, giving garages fast access to the new range of replacement parts.”
NAC MG has already announced the names of 55 MG dealers who expect to start selling the new model in mid-September. To support these new vehicles, XPart is already stocking replacement parts.
“As an increasing number of vehicle manufacturers look to establish themselves in Europe, we expect to see areas of aftersales support, such as parts distribution, taking on increased importance,” comments Craig Cooper, general manager, XPart. “Service is such a critical part of the brand differentiation that vehicle manufacturers serious about the European market have to get it right from the start.”
