Gower beaches have been “eroded” by the tourist body designed to promote them.
Wales’s tourism promotion body Visit Wales has been forced to apologise after mistakenly placing three Gower beaches in Pembrokeshire in a guide. The Active Wales brochure claimed Gower beauty spots Langland, Rhossili and Llangennith were all in Pembrokeshire. It will now be corrected in the next issue this autumn.
Bentley is cutting production at its plant in Crewe by about 15% because of slowing global sales of its top-end cars.
Bentley will reduce shifts and hours worked for some of its slower-selling models. It will also discontinue the contracts of up to 50 agency workers. However, there will be no compulsory job losses.
