Ford Focus Zetec S joins the rangeFord will introduce the Zetec S badge to its acclaimed Focus line-up for the first time.
It's based on the existing Zetec model but with full sports styling kit, 17in alloy wheels, aluminium-style foot pedals and hand brake cover, and "S" badge on the front fender.
The Ford Focus Zetec S is available in three-door and five-door versions with the addition of a 1.6 Ti-VCT 115PS petrol unit.
The Ford Focus Zetec S is priced just £750 above the equivalent Zetec derivative.
Two optional styling packs are available. The Sport pack (£500) includes 18in alloy wheels and privacy glass, and the WRC pack (£200) includes World Rally Championship 'chequered flag' decals and WRC scuff plates.
New Golf gets top safety starsThe new Volkswagen Golf has been awarded a maximum five-star rating by the European New Car Assessment Programme crash test agency.
The Golf, now in its sixth generation, achieved 36 out of a possible 37 points for occupant protection leading to a five-star award.
In the area of child safety the new Golf scored an impressive four stars; a further three stars were awarded for pedestrian safety. Insurance groups are 4 to 12.
Ordering for the new Golf opened on 17 October with prices starting at £13,150 RRP ‘on the road'. The car goes on sale in the UK on 6 January 2009.
