Citroën's Ready to Run special vehicle programme has been improved and expanded for 2009.

Robert Handyside, Citroën's commercial vehicle operations manager, comments, "Citroën's Ready to Run programme has always provided the widest range of high-quality conversions.
"With the launch of the 2009 programme,
we have moved Ready to Run even further ahead of the competition with significant product upgrades and additional, unique new conversions."
New for 2009 are Somers chiller conversions for the Nemo, International Van of the Year 2009, new Berlingo chiller and freezer conversions as well as chiller and freezer box-bodies on Relay chassis cabs.
In addition, there are now new Berlingo Supertrucks glass carrying conversions.

Ready to run for your profits

Commercial vehicle dealers are feeling the pain resulting from falls in the availability and affordability of finance, according to EurotaxGlass's - publisher of Glass's Guide to Used Commercial Vehicles

"This scenario has conspired to reduce business confidence," explains George Alexander, Editor of the Guide.  "Existing vehicle-owners and fleet operators are adopting a ‘make-do' attitude with regard to the vehicles they have for the time being."
However, Alexander notes that the efforts made to support world financial markets could ensure that the current weakness in retail sales will not gain momentum as 2008 comes to a close.
"In fact, with UK interest rates belatedly coming down there might soon be some limited signs of stability.  If this were to coincide with a strengthening of consumer confidence, then there could be a noticeable ‘pre-Christmas uplift' effect for van sales such as we would expect to see in more normal times.
"Failing such an optimistic outcome, the best that can be said is that we might now have started down the long road to recovery," concludes Alexander.
There are now over 80 specially converted Citroën light commercial vehicles in the 2009 Ready to Run programme, which includes Nemo, Berlingo First, new Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay models.
Also, the Ready to Run 2009 programme includes new Nemo, Berlingo First and new Berlingo dual fuel (petrol/LPG) conversions.
For the first time in the UK, Citroën's Ready to Run programme includes Somers temperature-controlled conversions of NME dual-fuel vans.
