Welsh logistics company invests in new Sprinters
publication date: Nov 20, 2008
When your vans clock up around 150,000 miles a year you need a manufacturer you can rely on.
Two new Mercedes Sprinter 313CDI chassis cabs are the latest additions to the fleet of the South Wales company One2One Logistics, which has been running vehicles bearing the famous three-pointed star for 10 years. From its base at Risca, near Newport, One2One Logistics provides its customers with a door-to-door international express delivery service. The firm runs five Sprinters, as well as three trucks. | | "Our Mercedes routinely cover up to half a million miles before we stand them down," explains Managing Director Chris Phillips (above). "As long as they're serviced regularly, we don't have any problems with them." One2One Logistics was established by Chris and his truck driver father John in 1998. The company specialises in urgent and ‘just in time' deliveries of anything from automotive and aerospace components to pharmaceuticals, and will also take oddly-shaped items such as ladders or pieces of machinery. Like all of their predecessors, the company's latest vans were supplied by Newport dealer Euro Commercials (South Wales). Both are fitted with GPS tracking systems while their bodies are the work of Cardiff Truck & Bus - one is a curtainsider, the other a box with sleeper pod. |
