Insurance group Admiral is creating 119 jobs in Swansea.
The company is due to sign a 15 year lease on a building at the gateway to SA1 where it will occupy 12,160 sq ft. It currently occupies the Cyprium building on SA1 Swansea Waterfront where 1,170 people are employed. The jobs are being created at the company's commercial vehicle insurance brand Gladiator. 
Huw Llewellyn, Admiral group facilities manager said, "As a major employer in South Wales, and an investor in the Welsh economy, our expansion into the Ellipse building further reinforces our commitment to continual growth and to the city of Swansea."

 
Sainsbury's Bank says car insurance premiums fell by just over 3pc in the six months from June 2008.
The research reveals that the average premium in December last year was £498.22 compared to £514.36 in June 2008.


The UK's unreliable and congested transport network is undermining the long-term competitiveness of business, according to a new report by the CBI, which is being launched to coincide with the first meeting of a new transport group of influential business leaders.
The CBI Transport Task and Finish Group, includes firms from sectors, such as retail, construction, finance and transport. It is tasked with suggesting new ways that investment and innovation can be injected into the current transport system and will report back to the CBI by the end of the year.


The French government has detailed its 6 billion-euro plan to aid its carmakers to European Union regulators, who have threatened to outlaw the proposals as a violation of rules.
France submitted documents to the European Commission late last night, according to Bloomberg. Under the French program, PSA Peugeot Citroen and Renault SA, the country's two largest carmakers, will each get 3 billion euros in government loans over five years after promising to preserve jobs and production in the country.
