Young Welsh racing driver Alex Jones has been enlisted to help promote the new Ford Focus RS.

The North Wales racer was drafted in by Ford to demonstrate the new high performance hatchback to dealer staff and potential customers  at Preswold Hall, Leics..

"The RS is very exciting to drive - it has tremendous torque coming out of the corners and great grip and stability under braking.  With a revised version of the ST's turbocharged 2.5-litre Duratec motor and front-wheel drive it produces mega power, doing 0-60mph in under six seconds with a top speed of over 155 mph.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking people around and giving them the experience of how a fast car can perform.  It was good to see their appreciation and pleasure - "awesome" and "fantastic experience" were words I heard a lot of during the day, which also made my day really worth while".

But now its time to re-focus on the single seater Ford with the second round of the MSA Formula Ford Championship coming up next weekend at Rockingham 30 & 3 May.
