| The all-new Jaguar XJ was unveiled last night in London with some of the latest engines built at Ford Bridgend Engine Plant.
Jaguar Cars Managing Director, Mike O'Driscoll, said, "These are
truly exciting times for us at Jaguar. The new XJ is truly beautiful,
exhilarating to drive, and with its bold, enlightened approach to
design, it meets the challenges of our fast-changing world. It
re-imagines the ultimate sporting luxury car."
The all-new XJ is available to order now, with the first customers due to receive their cars in early 2010.
Prices start at £52,500 for the standard wheelbase 3.0-litre V6 diesel
luxury and rise to £88,000 for the 470bhp 5.0 V8 supercharged model at
the pinnacle of the 12-model range of long and short wheelbase saloons.
All the V8 petrol engines are made in Wales.
It uses the latest lightweight aluminium body with a big panoramic
glass roof, there are three trim levels and a big instruments pod which
simultaneously shows different displays for driver and front seat
