A3 automatic with stop start technology

Automatic versions of the latest economy focused Audi A3 models are the first in the premium sector to benefit from the latest engine start-stop technology, which has already helped to cut emissions in manual transmission TDI versions to a sector-leading 109g/km.

The new highly efficient 1.4 TFSI petrol and 1.6 TDI versions of the A3 equipped with the acclaimed S tronic twin-clutch automatic transmission will spearhead the new technology, which also goes hand-in-hand with a recuperation system to harness braking energy and costs from £18,300.

Cadenza comes next year

Kia Motors Corporation has taken the wraps off its new Cadenza, the production version of its VG concept car – an all-new saloon car designed to deliver refinement, safety and emotional satisfaction in an ‘ideal’ driving package.

The stylish luxury sedan, which is to be called ‘Cadenza’ in markets outside of Korea, will make its overseas premiere at motor shows in the Middle East, towards the end of the year and the UK next year.
The Cadenza name is derived from an Italian musical term used to describe an elaborate, ornamental flourish for a concerto or aria.

Tepee gets improved petrol engine

Peugeot’s class leading family compact MPV the Partner Tepee is now available with a new Euro 5 petrol engine making it more fuel efficient and “greener”.

Available next month, the Partner Tepee S model will now see the introduction of the 1.6 litre 120 bhp VTi Euro 5 petrol engine previously fitted in the 207 and 308 model range. This results in a 12.5% improvement in fuel consumption and a 15% improvement in CO2 emissions. Vehicle excise duty, VED, also reduces from £215.00 to £175.00 a saving of £45 per year for £12,795.
