 | | Citroën maintains its reputation for producing lower
CO2 engines with the introduction of two new greener power-plants in
the C5 range.
A number of other model range changes are also implemented with immediate effect.
The key improvements are: A new BMW co-developed 1.6i 16V THP 155hp
petrol engine has replaced the out-going 2.0i 16V 143hp unit. This Euro
V engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and is available in the
VTR+ NAV Saloon.
The new 2.0HDi 16V 160hp diesel has replaced the 2.0HDi 16V 140hp and
the 2.2HDi 16V 173hp engines. Also Euro V rated, this new unit offers
the choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox and is
available on both Saloon and Tourer models, in VTR+ NAV and Exclusive
trim.
Another change is the SX trim level is renamed VTR but specification
remains unchanged and there is a new Bluetooth® system with USB box as
standard equipment on Exclusive models.
Prices are now from £18,200 to £28,400 for the five door and tourer models. | |  | | The first Škoda Superb Estate has rolled off the production line in Kvasiny, Czech Republic. The
most luxurious estate car yet to wear the Škoda badge offers a
class-leading load volume of up to 1,865 litres (633 litres with the
rear seats up). A choice of three petrol and three diesel engines will
be available in the Superb Estate, plus manual and DSG transmissions –
the same engine range as is available in the Superb hatch (launched
September 2008). The Superb Estate is 4,838 mm long, 1,817 wide
and 1,510 high – comfortably the most spacious and practical car in the
upper-medium segment. Right-hand drive production will begin in January
2010. |
