Greener engines in new C5
Citroën maintains its reputation for producing lower CO2 engines with the introduction of two new greener power-plants in the C5 range.
A number of other model range changes are also implemented with immediate effect.
The key improvements are: A new BMW co-developed 1.6i 16V THP 155hp petrol engine has replaced the out-going 2.0i 16V 143hp unit. This Euro V engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and is available in the VTR+ NAV Saloon.
The new 2.0HDi 16V 160hp diesel has replaced the 2.0HDi 16V 140hp and the 2.2HDi 16V 173hp engines. Also Euro V rated, this new unit offers the choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox and is available on both Saloon and Tourer models, in VTR+ NAV and Exclusive trim.
Another change is the SX trim level is renamed VTR but specification remains unchanged and there is a new Bluetooth® system with USB box as standard equipment on Exclusive models.
Prices are now from £18,200 to £28,400 for the five door and tourer models.
