West Wales motorists who struggle to get out and about can take advantage of free advice about the Motability scheme this weekend at Renault Swansea.

The Motability scheme can help fund all or part of the cost of a new car and is open to people who receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement, with at least 12 months’ award length remaining.

Anyone who thinks they may qualify can visit the dealership on Fendrod Way and speak to one of four Motability experts who can guide them through their options as well as the wide range of Renault cars available, many of which can be specially adapted to offer easy wheelchair access or hand controls.

What’s more, anyone ordering a new car through the scheme this weekend will receive a free prize including Renault accessories.

John Lea, Dealer Principal at Renault Swansea, said, “The event lasts until early next week but of course people can come and visit us at anytime to speak to one of our Motability trained staff about this fantastic scheme.

“This weekend though is all about generating awareness as many people don’t always realise they qualify for the scheme or that they can nominate a friend of family member to drive on their behalf.”

For more information on Renault Swansea or the Motability scheme visit the dealership on Fendrod Way, call 01792 495000 or log onto www.renaultretail.co.uk.
