Both new BMWs will be available to rent by the hour, day, week or month, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Members can reserve a car online or over the phone, with bookings taking just 60 seconds to reach the car. Škoda UK welcomes the Government’s announcement extending the scrappage scheme. In addition to the government’s contribution of £1,000, Škoda is offering £1,500 on a new Yeti, Fabia, Roomster or Superb and £2,500 on Octavia and it has extended its “No-VAT” offer across all Octavia, Fabia and Roomster models, with a potential saving of up to £3,388 up to 31st March. Ford dealers diverted 23,000 damaged bumpers from landfill last year thanks to a recycling initiative. The bumpers are equivalent to 70 tonnes of landfill and were stripped from accident-damaged cars by Ford dealers last year to be recycled into new bumpers and other plastic components. Scrappage incentives accounted for just under 18pc of January’s registrations, says the SMMT.
