‘driving’ for the try line in style, thanks to a kit sponsorship from
leading South Wales motor retailer, The Sinclair Group.
The Group, which runs Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Skoda and
smart sites stretching from Neyland to Newport, has supplied brand new
strips to up and coming players in the Ospreys Player Pathway Bridgend
District. Welsh rugby captain Ryan Jones presented the kits, which have
been provided for the programme’s U12’s, U13’s and U14’s teams made up
of players drawn from local clubs.
“Having to purchase new strips would have been quite a drain on our
resources so we’re extremely grateful to The Sinclair Group for their
support,” said Gary Clement, Osprey Development Coach.
“Whilst it was fantastic of them to provide the kit, they made it even
more special for some of the boys by arranging the handover from Ryan
Jones.”
Andy Sinclair, Managing Director of the Group’s Mercedes-Benz and smart
operations, added, “From a commercial point of view, this sponsorship
will put our name in front of many motorists as the teams will be
playing other districts across Wales as part of the WRU’s Pyramid
Development Programme.
“As a company that has been heavily involved with community focussed
projects and indeed Welsh rugby for many years, such as our sponsorship
of Ryan Jones, we’re equally delighted to be supporting the sport at
grass roots level. We hope the new kit brings the Ospreys Player
Pathway Bridgend District the very best of luck for the remainder of
this season and beyond.”
