Geneva show stand, 14 years after the car set the standard for high
performance with lightweight environmentally friendly economy as well.

2011 model year Lotus Elise introduces a number of changes and
improvements to maintain its class leading position.

| The Continental Supersports Convertible further
strengthens Bentley’s supercar range, following the introduction of the
Continental Supersports Coupé in 2009.
The new Supersports Convertible, with the same 630PS (621bhp/463kW)
twin-turbocharged W12 engine, is the fastest, most potent drop top
Bentley has ever built, offering the ultimate Bentley driving
experience in the world’s most dramatic convertible.
The inspiration for the ‘Supersports’ name is the 1925 Bentley
Supersports, a race-bred version of the iconic Bentley 3-litre, that
delivered 85bhp when more ordinary cars were equipped with a modest
15bhp. It was also the first production car to reach 100mph – extreme
performance in its day.
The new, muscular four-seat Supersports Convertible is unmistakably
Bentley in its design and craftsmanship but its interior signifies a
dramatic re-interpretation of Bentley luxury. Satin-finished carbon
fibre, Alcantara™and ‘Soft Grip’ leather create a unique ambience with
a distinctly sporting and contemporary style.
| BMW has introduced a Competition Package for its
class-leading BMW M3 Coupé to enhance the model’s unparalleled driving
dynamics. The package will go on sale 20 March, 2010.
The new Competition Package comprises a revised Electronic Damper
Control with a new Sport setting which, when coupled with the 10mm
lower suspension, improves the standard car’s already dynamic handling.
A Dynamic Stability Control Plus system with subtly less electronic
intervention than before allows for a more enthusiastic driving style.
Exclusively designed 19-inch light alloy wheels, inspired by the
popular E46 M3 CSL, complete the package.
The Competition Package is priced at £3,315 in addition to the standard BMW M3 Coupé’s £52,730 price.
| Toyota is taking the pain out of finding car insurance by offering one year’s Toyota Motor Insurance cover for free on its Aygo range.
The special deal applies to new cars ordered and registered by 31 March this year and comes on top of current offers that already provide a £500 saving on the on-the-road price. There is no requirement for owners to have a no-claims bonus to qualify for the deal, but they must be aged 21 or older. The insurance comes with free no-claims discount protection and the benefit of a double no-claims bonus for any owner who chooses to renew their cover after a year – subject of course to no claims having been made. |
