DVLA hopes to make record Manchester transfer deals
publication date: Feb 23, 2010
 | | | DVLA Personalised Registrations is hoping to emulate
Manchester United’s success when it moves into Old Trafford for its
Spring auction.
With a reserve price of £10,000 there are high expectations surrounding
the sale of 9 O next month, especially in the wake of last year with
the agency auctioning its first six O plates – 1 O – 6 O – for a
collective £666,000.
Jody Davies, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Events Manager (above), said, “As
2009 proved, our O series was extremely popular with personalised
registrations lovers and there’s no reasons why 9 O, which goes under
the hammer on Friday March 26, will not follow in the same vein.”
DVLA has secured a limited number of tickets which will enable
registered bidders attending the auction to a free tour of Manchester
United’s museum, which chronicles the continued rise of arguably the
world’s greatest football club and includes its glittering array of
trophies and a tour of its formidable Theatre of Dreams stadium.
She added, “We have made sure our Spring auction will be one
not to be missed and one which can be enjoyed by the whole family.
“There is a varied mix, among the 1,500 registrations being auctioned
with plenty of choice to suit all tastes and, more importantly, with
reserves ranging from £300 to £10,000, something to suit all budgets.” |
