The Motor Cycle Industry association has called for motorcycle training and not arbitrary tests to be the long-term goal for the motorcycle licensing regime.
MCI makes this call after the Government announced new measures on rider testing, training, examination and licensing which are being introduced as a result of European regulations. the industry is calling for the progressive training option to be included in the amendment to the Road Traffic Act, alongside the necessary testing regulations.


On Thursday 1 July British motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss will open the Mobility Roadshow at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.
Having recently been hospitalised after a serious fall at his home, the motor racing legend is eager to be mobile again. “Investment in mobility innovation and design is, I believe, vital to enable disabled and older people to maintain an independent lifestyle and by so doing is crucial to the general wellbeing of this nation,” said Sir Stirling.
