April 2010 witnessed ongoing high levels of activity in the VBRA's debt recovery system with a total of £75,500 being retrieved on behalf of members.

Commenting on performance, Malcolm Tagg, the VBRA's Director General said, "Clearly, in an ideal world we would much prefer our members to be paid by their clients on time. In the event of a failure to pay however, the VBRA has the proven ability to successfully "chase" debtors and ensure that their commitment to pay outstanding bills is honoured."

Continuing Tagg added, "The VBRA's debt recovery service is just one of the member benefits that we offer and is an area where we have been particularly active and highly successful over many years and especially recently as the effects of the recession have hit our industry hard. It provides an excellent "safety net" for members and is one of our many facilities that is widely appreciated."
