April established a new highest average monthly value in the used van market according to BCA’s latest Pulse Report.

Used LCV’s averaged £4,693 across the board in April, an increase of £193 (4.2pc) compared to March’s figure. All three main sectors posted improved values over March.
Average fleet/lease values rose by £50 to reach £5,176 – another new record value and the sixth consecutive ‘record month’.
Nearly new values increased by £808 to £10,844, a rise of 8.0pc - although volumes remained low as they have done for many months.
Part-Exchange values improved by £72 to £2,715, equivalent to a rise of 2.7pc following a fall in March.
Reflecting the strong price performance, CAP figures averaged 101.58pc across the board, although there is a little downward pressure from last month. All major sectors – fleet & lease (100.93pc),nearly-new (103.69pc)and dealer part-exchange (104.40pc)– recorded average CAP prices in excess of 100pc.
BCA’s Duncan Ward said, “Although we are in a period when we might typically expect prices to stall, values continue to march on. The good levels of demand, allied to a relatively thin supply of stock at almost every price point means there is plenty of competition for every van we sell.”
