Like the 207 and 308, Peugeot’s fun and
economical 107 hatchback has also now received the Millesim treatment,
as part of Peugeot’s 200 year celebrations.
Powered by an
economical three cylinder petrol engine, which emits just 106 g/km, the
107 Millesim also benefits from zero vehicle excise duty and a group
three insurance rating. This means that it is the perfect
car from the point of view of low running costs and with the
comprehensive standard Millesim specification, the ideal car for
customers looking for a small car but still requiring big car features,
like air-conditioning, alloy wheels etc… | | It is based on the current Urban Plus model but benefits
from a range of extra standard equipment consisting of: 14” alloy
wheels, air-conditioning, rev counter, special code blue seat trim, blue
air vent surrounds, blue instrument binnacle and unique Millesim 200
badging. The entry level 3dr costs £9,495 while the 5dr is £400 more. As
well as the extra standard equipment, all 107 Millesim models also
benefit from: ABS, electronic brake force distribution (EBFD), corner
stability control (CSC), power steering, four airbags, remote control
central locking, two rear three-point seat belts, 50/50 split folding
rear seat, height adjustable steering column, radio / single CD player
with MP3 socket, body colour exterior door mirrors, black body side
trims, electric front windows, two rear ISOFIX child safety seat
mountings, Internally adjustable door mirrors… All models ordered in
June also come with a free Nokia 5230 smartphone with inbuilt satellite
navigation with free future updates and an in-car mounting kit. | | | | Suzuki’s third generation Swift goes on sale as a 3
and 5 door model in the UK in the Autumn. Suzuki held the world
premiere line off ceremony yesterday at its Magyar Suzuki Corporation
production facility at Esztergom, Hungary. It has developed a new
1.2-litre petrol engine incorporating Dual VVT (Variable intake and
exhaust valve timing) which produces 94PS at 6,000rpm, slightly more
than the outgoing 1.3-litre unit. Torque is also improved to 118Nm at
4,800rpm. | | Fuel consumption on the combined cycle is now 56.5mpg for
the manual transmission model, an improvement of 7.8mpg over the
previous 1.3-litre unit. Emissions are much lower as the new 1.2-litre
engine with manual transmission produces just 116g/km on the combined
cycle; representing a 24g/km or 17 per cent improvement over the 1.3. An
optional automatic transmission will be available for the petrol engine
from launch. A 1.3-litre diesel engine will also become available
and planned for UK introduction in early 2011; this engine emits
109g/km, down from 119g/km, and has an impressive combined fuel
consumption of 67.3mpg. |
