Smart ICE is cool car for hot summerThe smart fortwo ICE edition is the height of automotive cool and is a car that genuinely sounds as good as it looks.

The stunning special edition model, available in striking deep black with black carbon fibre finish tridion safety cell, takes in-car entertainment in the smart range to an even higher dimension by featuring the very latest Pioneer audio and navigation technology.
A user-friendly touch-screen displays album artwork and enables customers to scroll through their music collection with ease.
smart and Pioneer collaborated to ensure the state-of-the-art AVIC-F920BT Navgate package - incorporating a two-way speaker system and active subwoofer - could be seamlessly custom-fitted into the soundproofed spaces occupied by the factory-supplied audio equipment. And with its supremely rich sound reproduction, the result is music to the ears of would-be owners, who can listen to their favourite tunes via their iPod, iPhone or MP3 player.
Drivers can also select tracks according to their mood or journey via Pioneer’s innovative MusicSphere technology. Categorised by tempo, rhythm, vocal and pitch, it can create up to 40 different playlists from an iTunes library that can then be accessed using a dedicated interactive 3D sphere interface.
In addition to its hands-free Bluetooth capability, the ICE edition’s Navgate unit is streets ahead when it comes to navigation – issuing pre-warnings about traffic jams and accidents as well as highlighting more than six million points of interest in 44 countries, such as cash machines or petrol stations.
Owners can use the system’s ECO Graph package to analyse their driving performance too. It reveals how efficiently and economically they are driving by displaying the smart’s fuel usage as well as its CO2 emissions.
Big on technology, the smart fortwo ICE edition boasts a specification to match. Its striking black exterior is complemented by 15-inch BRABUS Monoblock VII alloy wheels and panoramic roof.
The smart’s interior is equally impressive, with black leather heated seats, leather optic upper dashboard and 3-spoke leather sports steering wheel with steering wheel gear shift amongst its luxury appointments. Its extensive specification also includes a lockable glove compartment, air conditioning, electric windows and dashboard-mounted clock and rev counter.
Only 200 smart fortwo ICE edition models will be available for purchase in the UK. There will be 140 micro hybrid drive petrol versions priced from £10,495 on-the-road as well as 60 diesels, which will cost £11,245.

Cruze updatedChevrolet has pulled the wraps off a race-inspired option pack to further bring out the dynamic styling and handling of the Cruze saloon.
The ‘CS’ styling kit consists of smart 18-inch white multi-spoke alloy wheels, lowered suspension, a boot spoiler, unique CS graphics and matching tailored carpet mats.
The CS Kit is available on all trim and engine variants of the Cruze at the time of order and costs £1,595, including VAT and fully fitted.
That’s in addition to the standard Cruze specification, which includes such features as follow-me-home lighting, remote central locking, a CD-radio system with auxiliary input, premium soft-touch interior plastics and electric windows on even the entry-level model.

Building on Chevrolet’s iconic US Heritage, the retro-styled Camaro has been on sale in the USA since 2009, and has already seen sales in excess of 200,000 as American retailers cleared their waiting lists.
And very soon, those waiting to get their hands on an official Camaro in the UK will have reason to celebrate – the car will go on sale with full manufacturer warranty, during the first half of 2011.
Camaro comes 2011
With looks that draw heavily from the styling of the legendary 1967-69 Camaro – immortalised in song in Bruce Springsteen’s Racing in the Street and on the silver screen in both 2 Fast 2 Furious and Transformers – the car is a full four-seater, with an interior that also takes significant cues from the look of its forebears.
The Camaro will be available only in top level V8 trim – the 6.2-litre 426bhp powerplant is as much of a legend as the Camaro itself. It promises a top speed electronically limited to 155mph, and a 0-60mph time of less than five seconds, coupled to a dynamic chassis that, thankfully, owes little to the layout of more traditional muscle cars.
Final specification details and prices will be announced closer to the car’s 2011 launch.

New look inside and out and more economical
The history of the great two-door cars bearing the three-pointed star goes back to the large supercharged cars of the 1920s and '30s. The new MB CL-Class generation continues in this great unbroken tradition.
With targeted design modifications such as the new, more strongly pointed radiator grille, the new front bumper with integrated LED strips for the daytime running lamps and the standard bi-xenon headlamps, the Mercedes developers cultivated the poise and dynamism expressed in the design language of the two-door car in a contemporary manner.
The high technological level exemplified by Active Body Control (ABC) with crosswind stabilisation sets new standards in driving dynamics and comfort. And with safety systems such as the ATTENTION ASSIST weariness recognition system, active Blind Spot Assist, active Lane Keeping assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist and automatic PRE-SAFE® full brake application, the CL-Class takes pole position in the luxury coupé class.
This is also true of the engine line-up: the entirely re-developed V8 biturbo engine with a displacement of 4.6 litres, 435 hp output, a torque of 700 Newton-metres and spray-guided direct petrol injection in the CL 500 BlueEFFICIENCY achieves top marks in its class in terms of efficiency, with a consumption of 29.73 mpg on the combined cycle. This means fuel savings of up to 23 percent over the predecessor model.
CO2 emissions drop from 288 to 224 grams per kilometre. At the same time, output climbs by 47 hp compared with the 5.5-litre naturally aspirated engine in the preceding model.
The special order CL 600 is the renowned summit of the drive units, with its 517 hp V12 5.5-litre biturbo engine developing a torque of 830 Nms.
