Ford Kuga strengthens its reputation as a leading
vehicle in its class with new powertrain options designed to boost
performance, improve fuel economy and reduce CO2.
Coupled with a new 'Individual' trim, Ford Kuga continues to combine
striking design with rewarding driving quality. |
|
The new powertrain combinations include a powerful new 163PS version of
the 2.0-litre Ford Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, a new 140PS version of
the 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi engine (previously 136PS) and availability
of the advanced Ford PowerShift six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox
for the popular all-wheel-drive models.
With 20 per cent more peak power, the new 163PS engine with manual
transmission provides significantly improved performance in the Kuga,
with top speed increased from 112 to 121 mph and acceleration time from
0-62 mph cut from 10.7 to 9.6 seconds.
The slightly more powerful 140PS model begins at £22,495 while the new
163PS models start at £24,495. | | | | Mercedes-AMG is accepting the challenges of
motoring
of the future with the SLS AMG E-CELL.
Boasting a power output of 535 hp and 880 Nm of torque, the technology
vehicle from AMG is able to offer exceptional performance.
The gullwing with electric drive is part of the company strategy
entitled "AMG Performance 2015" which aims to continually improve consumption and lower emissions. The ground-breaking drive system of the technology
vehicle boasts some
outstanding features: powerful traction is provided by four
electric motors with a combined peak output of 525 hp and a maximum
torque of 880 Nm. |
| The four compact electric motors each achieve a maximum rpm of
12,000/rpm and are positioned near to the wheels.
As a result, compared with wheel-hub motors the unsprung masses are
substantially reduced. One transmission per axle transmits the power. | | | |
