A BMW 732i originally bought new from a dealership in High Wycombe, Bucks in 1982 by the late Cardiff author Roald Dahl, is being offered at auction by Historics at Brooklands on 25 September, with 20% of the profits generated going to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
For sale at no reserve, all monies donated to the charity can help towards providing nurses, carers, equipment and toys, designed to improve the lives of seriously ill children in the UK. The first BMW’s to feature service interval indicators and a quirky climate control system, this eminently reliable and intriguing car has completed over 100,000 miles and is described as good throughout.

Car sales fell in Italy, Spain and France during August, confirming a grim outlook for the sector after government subsidies to car buyers were phased out or ended.
Italian sales declined 19 percent. In Spain volume fell 23.8 percent. French sales were down 9.8 percent.

The General Assembly of the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) has accepted the application of Volvo Car Corporation to become a member of the trade association in Brussels.
