The Castle Combe Circuit's 2011 major public events get underway on Saturday 9 April with the Spring Performance Action Day.

The first of four days each season attracting up to 100 owners' clubs and large crowds who enjoy the non-stop action on the circuit.

The hallmark Action Days have been a highlight feature at Castle Combe Circuit for nearly 25 years and give enthusiasts the chance to take their cars onto the track to enjoy some performance driving in special sessions for just £35 plus admission.

The opening Action Day sees clubs representing just about every performance car manufacturer, displaying about 1500 cars.

Visitors can wander the Club Displays looking at the many highly modified and immaculate vehicles, with their proud owners vying for the coveted Car of the Show award.  On the track, drivers can put their cars through their paces which also makes for a great spectacle.

Many of the top drivers from the British Drift Championship will feature in the amazing lunchtime Drift display, with the cars 'Simply Sideways' but under perfect control.

A new attraction will see a team of drivers with high performance Japanese cars offering fast passenger lap sessions for just £20, with all the money raising going towards the Run For The Rising Sun Japanese Car initiative raising money for the Save The Children Japanese Tsunami appeal.

Castle Combe Circuit Action Days are open to drivers with road-legal cars which match the theme of the day and pass the strict sound check. For track users, the day is divided into time zones, so friends can get together to book a particular time.

Drivers attend a safety briefing and there are "new to track" sessions for those unfamiliar with driving on a circuit, while driving behaviour is closely monitored with a red card system to penalise those whose behaviour threatens to spoil the enjoyment of others.
