Around 150 jobs are likely to disappear at Sogefi Filtration, Llanatrisant due to "difficult market conditions" the company said yesterday.

Saab car production has been rescheduled to restart on 9 August, the company said yesterday.

Saab is offering an exclusive free of charge two-year service plan on Approved Used Saabs.
The free servicing plan, worth up to £700, is available on all used cars up to five years old or up to 60,000 miles, giving customers the chance to drive away a fantastic vehicle without the annual cost associated with the service.

MEPs have thrown out plans for tougher emissions limits.
A lobbying row has broken out as the European Parliament decisively rejected increasing the EU's 2020 CO2 emissions reduction target from 20% to 30%, on 1990 levels. The vote, which was postponed last month, saw a majority of 347-258 against the proposal, with 63 abstentions.


Drivers will be persued and punished for traffic offences they commit abroad, including the four "big killers" causing 75% of road fatalities - speeding, breaking traffic lights, failure to use seatbelts and drink driving - following a vote in the European Parliament.

EU figures suggest that foreign drivers account for 5% of traffic but around 15 % of speeding offences. Most go unpunished, with countries unable to pursue drivers once they return home, but now this will change.
