Suzuki and Perodua launch new models for tougher times

Two wheel drive derivative of popular SuzukiSuzuki says its latest Special Edition SX4 X-EC will go on sale later this month at £13,430.

It is available in two wheel drive format with 120PS 1.6-litre petrol engine and manual transmission only.

The new model offers a comprehensive list of standard equipment including colour satellite navigation system with Bluetooth connectivity; USB Port, unique design alloy wheels, electric folding door mirrors with built in turn signal lamps, rear privacy glass and a new design seat fabric.
The Euro 5 emissions 1.6-litre petrol engine features variable valve timing with variable intake system for enhanced driveability and response. It powers the SX4 2WD with manual transmission from nought to 62 mph in 10.7 seconds. In combined cycle driving, the 2WD manual models return 45.6mpg with emissions of 141g/km.
X-EC is available in three metallic colours; Galactic Grey, Cosmic Black Pearl and Cool White Pearl.
Perodua is adding two limited edition Myvis, the Myvi Jet and the Myvi Sport Silver, which are available in limited numbers.
The Myvi Jet features chrome door handles, side mouldings with a stainless steel capping and ‘Myvi' motif, remote central locking and 10 spoke 14" silver alloy wheels. Available in ebony black in a choice of manual or automatic transmission, this fantastic looking Myvi is priced from £7,499.
Proton's Jet has landed in range
The Myvi Sport Silver has the same specification as the popular Myvi Sport including a stylish body kit, colour matched side mouldings, chrome door handles and interior carbon fibre finishes and also includes 10 spoke 15" titanium alloy wheels. Myvi Sport Silver is finished in glittering silver and is available in manual transmission for £7,999.
Both limited editions include the same high level specification as the standard Myvi including air conditioning, power steering, four electric windows, electric door mirrors and an integrated radio/CD player.
Perodua also announced that a number of special offers have been extended. The £1,000 retail incentive offer is now valid until 30 September across the Myvi range, which means that Britain's best value supermini continues to be available from £6,999.
Perodua also continuing to hold the VAT increase on their added value Myvis, such as the Myvi Lux and Myvi Sport, until 30 September so Myvi Lux is £7,399. Remote central locking continues to be free of charge on all Myvis until 31 July, representing a customer saving of over £160.
