 | MUGEN of Japan has
built a CR-Z MUGEN RR design concept to demonstrate its capabilities in
terms of function, style, performance and agility.
The CR-Z MUGEN RR was
produced by M-TEC in Japan for show purposes only and there are currently no
plans for further production.
| The CR-Z MUGEN RR
has been created with many bespoke prototype parts, several of which are
created in carbon fibre, including the bonnet, passenger doors and rear
tailgate. Other features unique to the car include a full length carbon-fibre
underbody, a twin central-exit exhaust, vented front bumpers and race-developed
suspension. Orange 4-piston monobloc brake calipers and forged 18-inch alloy
wheels both complement the vibrant Valencia Orange Pearl exterior paint work.
Inside the car, the seats are clad in MUGEN-branded colour-coded
leather/Alcantara. The addition of a race-developed information screen has the
ability to record chassis and engine data as well as housing a Satellite
navigation and audio system. This high tech kit will monitor the car over two
laps to "learn" a circuit and then record lap data and vehicle tracking using
GPS.
The design concept was unveiled for its world debut at the beginning of July in
the Moving Motor Show area at Goodwood Festival of Speed and complements the
high-performance CR-Z MUGEN, which was designed and built by MUGEN EURO based
in the UK.
| | | Access to the all-new Ford Focus range becomes easier
with the arrival of the all-new Focus Studio which goes on sale in September.
This latest addition
extends the all-new Ford Focus range to five series, with prices from £13,995
for the Focus Studio to £24,000 the top-of-the-range Titanium X with six-speed
Powershift automatic transmission and 163PS TDCi engine. | | | This newcomer
replaces the popular Ford Focus Sport, a final special edition of the previous
model which has been on sale since October 2010 and reached sales of 15,000. | | | | This summer MINI Hatch and MINI Convertible models
are available in a special, limited edition called MINI Soho.
Earlier this
year the company announced that all MINI Special Editions will be named after
London boroughs, districts, streets and landmarks. The Soho
name has been introduced to MINI Hatch and Convertible models for a limited
time following the success of the popular MINI Soho Clubman edition last year. | The MINI Soho edition will be available in both Cooper and Cooper D models from
July until March 2012. Thanks to the MINI Cooper D Hatch's frugal credentials
it is exempt from London Congestion charging with CO2 of just 99g/km and a
whopping 74.3mpg* fuel consumption.
MINI Soho
editions have exclusive ‘White Silver' metallic paint which is
not available on any other current MINI Hatch or Convertible model, and to
compliment the striking paintwork the Soho is finished with 17" Black Star
Bullet alloy wheels, Bi-Xenon headlights with black interior reflectors and
white indicators.
Inside the
cabin the Soho has a sporty feel with Anthracite headlining, a 3-Spoke sport
leather steering wheel and ‘Piano Black' interior surfaces.
The Mini
Cooper Soho Hatch is £16,765 and the range rises to the Cooper D Soho
Convertible at £20,135. | | |
