| Hyundai has released the first rendering of the next-generation i30,
revealing an exciting new look for the company's bestselling C-segment
hatchback to be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show in September. | | The all-new i30 was designed and engineered at the Hyundai Motor Europe
Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and represents the next evolution of
the unique form language, ‘fluidic sculpture' - the company's distinctive
design DNA.
Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer, Hyundai Motor Europe said, "When
designing the new i30, we used strong, fluid lines to sculpt a car which looks
athletic while exuding a sense of constant motion, even when stationary.
From the rendering, you can see how we managed to give the car a bold stance,
transmitting a confident attitude through sporty characteristics and dynamic
proportions. In this way, the car is very close to the recently unveiled
i40, and we want people to recognise the Hyundai design DNA on those two
models." | | | | The world production premiere of the all new Subaru XV will be
at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show, 13 to 15 September. The Subaru XV defines a whole new generation of Subaru crossover vehicle.
The Concept version of the XV received a warm welcome when it was first shown
at the Auto Shanghai motor show in April, its design successfully combining the
latest distinctive Subaru elements with the commanding silhouette expected of a
crossover. | The final production version of the XV remains true to the Concept and
Subaru is confident that it will bring something fresh, as well as a new level
of engineering excellence, to the segment.
Subaru also expects the XV will bring a new type of customer to the Brand,
people who are confident in the knowledge of the company's AWD and engineering
expertise and who are also looking for the flexibility and lifestyle statement
that owning a crossover brings.
The Subaru XV is due for launch in the UK in early 2012.
| | | The new generation Suzuki Swift Sport will make its world debut at Frankfurt as well.
The new Swift Sport is a refined sport compact resulting from the first full
model change since the launch of the original Swift Sport in 2006. It has
a more aggressive and dignified exterior look thanks to a low-slung form that
gives a sense of stability and tension, and a big
| | front grille that evokes a
sporty performance feel. The cabin combines essential sportiness with a
high-quality look and feel, and design features that heighten excitement about
the driving experience. Higher power and lower fuel consumption are delivered by the 1.6-litre M16A
engine, which Suzuki developed exclusively for the Swift Sport. The
engine is mated to a specially developed six-speed manual transmission.
