BMW Group is increasing the number of UK apprenticeships available through its company and dealership schemes to around 200 in 2012.
The intake is set to double this year to 70 places at MINI's three production sites across the UK as the plants prepare for the next model generation. In addition, BMW and MINI dealerships are looking to recruit around 130 young people across the UK.

Missing a service on a vehicle over three years old could cost drivers over £2,200 over its life as an annual service nips potentially expensive problems in the bud.
Insurance and warranty specialist, MB&G is warning drivers that skipping the annual service is essentially a false economy as the MoT does not include many items.

Eco driving = Fun?
The two are not normally put together but that could all change with the launch of the AA's new Eco Driving App which could help to improve your driving techniques and see you save an average of between 10 and 20 percent on fuel bills, and is available for free from iTunes and the Android store.

Transport Minister Norman Baker has announced £15m of new funding for sustainable travel projects across England that will promote economic growth and cut carbon.
This additional funding, heavily geared towards cycling, will support jobs, enhance access to employment and encourage greater use of more environmentally friendly transport and will be used to improve cycle routes and provision for cyclists at railway stations in England, but not in Wales, which is funded by the Welsh Government transport grant.
