Pre-registration
for the 2012 Motor Codes Garage of the Year competition, sponsored by Havoline,
is open ahead of the start of voting from 24 February.
The
free-to-enter competition is open to all service and repair centres -
franchised and independent, large and small - aiming to find UK motorists'
favourite garage.
Motor
Codes, the self-regulatory body that operates OFT-backed codes of practice for
over 6,500 service and repair centres will be opening the competition to the
public for voting next month.
Now an
annual initiative, the competition benefits from a number of enhancements for
2012, including the addition of Havoline as sponsor and the introduction of
separate award streams for large and small garages, reflecting the diverse nature
of the industry.
Voted for
entirely by customers, the contest will pick out the UK's top 100 garages, 50
big and 50 small businesses, highlighting regional champions and, ultimately,
the Motor Codes Garages of the Year.

that consumer taste is consistent with the choice consumers make when choosing
their next vehicle.
In
the course of the last 5 years, a regular trend has been established with the
same makes and even models dominating the popularity surveys. The only movement
in the Top3 is related to the sequence of the positions.
In
2010, the most popular used car sold was the Ford Focus. The Vauxhall Astra was
second and the BMW 3-Series 3rd. In 2011, however, the Astra has made a
breakthrough to the 1st position - 5.39% of all cars that Creditplus financed
last year were Astra's.
Second
position with 5.27% of the whole volume was registered by the BMW 3-Series,
which left the Ford Focus - last year's "winner" - in the third with a 4.98%
share of the whole used car finance market. |
