Wales-based Confused.com has launched a new partnership with Quotemehappy to offer insurance to careful drivers.
Quotemehappy.com is an insurer that is specifically set up for careful drivers who want reliable, low-cost policies.

The IAM is warning that from 1 July this year all drivers visiting France will need to carry a breathalyser kit in their cars, as French drivers will have to. From November there will be an €11 fine for not complying.

With a start date for the new measure of 1 July 2012, the rules will apply for anyone travelling to or through France by car in the summer holiday season, even just for a day trip.


Moody's Investors Service, which previously predicted light vehicle sales in Europe in 2012 would be roughly the same as last year, now expects volume to fall to 12.73 million units from 13.57 million in 2011.

Moody's say Europe's combination of excess auto capacity and weaker demand will create pricing pressure and squeeze profits. The firm says Fiat and PSA Peugeot Citroen would be most vulnerable to declining revenue and also forecasts a 6% decline in light vehicle production this year.

PSA Peugeot Citroen and Volkswagen AG are considering drawing on low-interest loans authorized by the European Central Bank, Bloomberg News reports.
