Wales should opt out of UK proposals to raise the
motorway speed limit from 70mph to 80mph, says a campaign group.
Sustainable Transport Cymru (STC) said it feared increased speeds would lead to more accidents, higher casualty rates and more carbon emissions but the Welsh government said it would consider safety implications in particular in examining the plans. The firm, based in Istanbul, invests in energy, transport and technology and wishes to buy all of Saab and wishes to keep production in Sweden. |
